Looking at these 17 in americans? How wide can i go

    I was wondering how wide have those gone in the rear with 17's and what backspacing do you have. I've tried Mickey Thompsons 275-60-15's 15x7 w/4.5 but the sidewall rubbed on the leaf spring. I've fit regular 275's with stiffer sidewall's but on another 7" wheel. I think i can run 8's easily, has anybody fit anything bigger than an 8 on a 17" or 18" wheel. The car sits about 2 inches lower than stock.
