    how do you guy's put chrome lug nuts on with out leaving any marks on them .:idea:

    There are plastic inserts you can buy that are 1/16" thick. You put one in a 7/8 socket to make it a 13/16". They are available from most auto stores.

    I have been trying to find the plastic inserts that Mavaholic mentioned. I checked at several local auto parts stores with no luck. When I asked the sales person about the plastic inserts, they just gave me a weird look and said "No, never heard of such a thing". I looked on the Internet and have only been able to find these "protective impact sockets", which are a set of various sizes, but not just a "plastic insert".
