Hey there everyone. My friend has decided to repair and restore his 1971 mercury comet back to working order and I'd love more than anything to help him. Heres the problem: I know SQUAT-DIDDLY about cars, let alone this particular model. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any websites that could assit me in learning about the 71 comets or perhaps a site I could purchase a manual for? Thanks a bunch. Oh, and be fully prepared for mad postings from me that will be filled with questions once the restoration begins. :D

haha just noticed that too, nice name

also, a good place for manuals would be ebay. there is the chilton manual and the shop manuals.

I would say this is a good source of information. Just do a search of what your looking for and you are bound to find it somewhere on the board!
