Does any one know if 15x8 w/4.5" back spacing magum 500 wheels and 245/60/15 will work on the rear of a73 maverick with out any interference.thanks Sputzy:tiphat:

Tire size is OK, but that backspacing can be a problem. Some guys have fit 4.5" without a problem but others (including me) had trouble with hitting the springs. I guess it varies from car to car on fit when you get more than a 4" backspace.

Anyway you can test fit them to see if they will work on your car?

Eric is right. The tire may hit the spring but I don't think it will. I'm running 275/60 15's. That's the size wheel I run and I have a perfect fit...but my rear end is 1/2" wider than stock. I have a little over 1/4" clearance at the tires. You could try it and if you had a problem you could always run a spacer plate.
