    Hello, Comet and Maverick Cousins!
I have a '71 Mav, 200, manual brakes. At least six years ago, I bought Dorman
brake lines and a Master Cylinder, keeping them in their boxes inside my apartment.
Life stuff happened, and now FINALLY I'm starting the full brake job! My question
is, is the Master Cylinder still in excellent condition to use, or has internal lubricants
dried up, and it's better to just get a fresh one? And is the Dorman MC a good product?
    Thank you for your help!
    Bye, Daniel

If it was stored in a good place, and it sounds like it was, there should be no issue using it. You have no idea how long something has been sitting in a warehouse or a back room at a parts store before you buy it so this is no different. And Dorman has always made decent products.

    Use it...

If it was 15 years old, I'd probably use it.
