Looking for a pinout of the connector plug for what I think is a Maverick radio. Model 'D4DA-19A171BA. It has a single bullet connector which I believe is the +12 v power lead. It has a 4 pin connector which should be the speakers but what I have measured with an ohmeter don't make sense. It doesn't have a fader for front to back so I think it's for a 2 speaker system only. May even be mono but I thought everything went stereo before 74. A schematic of the radio would really help but haven't been able to find one. Thanks, RS
Off the top of my head, the blue wire with the red stripe, is for the light. (but's it's still early)
Well I figured it out and it's none of the colors posted. The 74 Mav radio is mono not stereo so it has a single output for a front and a rear speaker with a built in fader. It has a single Black wire which is the +12 volt power. Then it has a 4 pin molded plug for the speakers. Black wire -male bullet - ground for the rear speaker. Green wire _ female bullet - speaker out - jumped to 3rd pin in plug. Yellow wire- female bullet - connects to one term of the front speaker. Grey wire - female bullet - connects to the other term of front speaker and the other term of the rear speaker. Strang way of wiring but does feed both speakers and incorperating the internal fader in so it works. Thanks for the ideas. There are so many different wiring configs. I guess ford doesn't do anything in a standard way (or that makes sense). RS
Found the wiring diagram for the 74 Mav radio. And it's working great now. A good source for a drawing and some parts is JustRadios. They're located in Ontario and the price was right. RS
