Did some Maverick Grabbers come with bench seats? I`m looking at a 72 that has a bench seat,is there somewhere on the vin plate which designates what type of seats it should have?

    Most came with bench seats.

The TRIM code on the data sticker will tell you what interior it had.

The Maverick Grabber came with a Bench Seat in all vinyl standard. Buckets cost extra. HF is Ginger Vinyl. The Comet GT's all came with Buckets standard. The Comet was actually a better package for the money when these cars were new.

Appreciate the info,I logged onto the site Craig told me about but it said interior info for 1972 Mav`s was unavailable.I was wondering where you found this info. Also the Grabber I`m looking at is amazingly pretty much rust free(for an Indiana car),some elderly woman had bought it new.It has 78,000 miles on it.Back bumper is dented and the front of the hood is dented some. The seat is torn on drivers side.It has AC that is attached under tray that runs full length under dash.,250 six,.The guy is asking $2100,what`s anyone`s opinion on the price? What are these cars worth cherried out?

It really depends on condition. It is either a real bargain at that price, or a rip off. Just depends on condition. Where are you located that you are looking at an Indiana car?

I`m located in southeast Indiana in a town called St. Leon. I looked this car up and down it has some rust but not what we`re used to .When I owned my 71 Comet GT many years ago it had a ton of rust. This car amazes me how little it has.So $2100 might be a pretty good deal.So what do these cars bring if they are cherried out?

The most I have ever seen a slighlty modified "cherried out" Maverick bring was $7900. It was very nice and highly detailed. I am sure there are some "drag only" cars that have/would sell for more.
