Has anyone heard of this one? Was this model after a real race car?

theres alot of generic drag race model cars out there with ust fake made up names on the decal sheet. thats probably the case with that kit

is there a driver named on the kit? if so that could give you a clue as to if its real ot not. but in most cases theyre ust made up so it can still look cool but the model maker gets to avoid the fees of putting a real name on the box

That's really wild looking, are you gonna build it?

I built a lot of model kits in the early 70s. I would not remember this one if you hadn't posted a picture, but I did see that on the store shelves way back when.

I never built that one, but AMT was my favorite company ... always liked the detail and quality of their kits. I know they used that chassis on some other kit that I did build. It is very familiar. Might be the same as the Taratula (sp?). I am very sure that this is a fantasy car that they dreamed up and made a body to adapt to that chassis to make an entirely new kit.
