I have a SROD 4 spd from an '82 5.0, I want to use their hydraulic throwout bearing instead of converting to cable cable linkage. So I checked their website and they didn't hav my tranny listed so I wrote them and asked if they had one that would work for me. After a long long time waiting for their reply, they finally emailed me back. They told al the part #s I needed for my "T5". Problem is I don't have a T5, I have an SROD 4spd from an '82 mustang and thats what my original message told them. My question is will the parts for the T5 work on my 4spd?

    trans ???

check the part numbers at a Ford dealership. They may be the same. Question ansewered. If not the same numbers, have them pull them off the shelf and check them side by side. ID, length, throwout position, etc.

While i can't answer your question, i can tell you that the McLeod T/O bearings are very expensive. The cheapest i have found them for is about $300. Actually $350. You can do the same thing for much cheaper! There are several ways...either using a slave cylinder or some custom bracketry, or by using a "universal" circle track hyd. t/o bearing (most circle track websites list one, but i dont' know of any off hand). The universal units will work just as well and only cost about $75. They only require that you shim to get the proper distance.

where can I find these circle track sites at? can I get a master cylinder with it too? Is difficult to install? This is pretty much the last piece of the puzzle for my engine swap and want to make sure I get it right.

I'm sorry, i really can't remember the website. A friend of mine who runs circle track gave it to me once, and i don't run into him much anymore....i would suggest searching on google, or asking around your town...i know they aren't that hard to come by. Sorry!

The toploader and T5 both have the same input shaft sleeve diameter, and so I'd assume the SROD is the same as well. If so, the TO should fit either.
