That is 1 sweet looking set up. Love the power rack & pinion. Is that the RC one? What motor are you putting in? Does the kit come with motor mounts or do you have to make your own?

76 Mav, how hard was it to put in? I'm looking at putting a 351w stroked to 392 in my car but I want the clearance for other mods later. What was involved in welding to the existing frame?
    Thanks Tomm

Wonder if the steering shaft will get in the way of off-the-shelf headers?

Also tom hackman put a rod and custom in tammy's car and they are running off the shelf headers. he could answer any questions you would have on one of R.C. front ends:)

The front end i have is from Ziggs Street Rods ...

    http://www.zigsstreetrods.com/Pages/mustang2.html

It was a piece of cake to set up ... I just used a Alcam #102 Hi-Strength rod for all my structural welding ... The motor mount was a universal type that was included with the kit ... In this case im going with a 427 Fe ... Who said an Fe was a boat anchor ??

I put the mounts in the same location as the standard 302 mounts because at the time thats what i was going with ... I fear now that im going to have tranny clearance problems not to mention the drive shaft ... I put the 427 in for a dry fit and i know already that the power brake booster wont work ... Im glad that i dont have to worry about the tower braces because theres no way they would have worked ... Also i have to go to an auto floor shift because a manual shift or column auto is out of the question ... I have Hooker headers that are made for an F-100 and so far so good as far as stearing shaft clearance... I think i made it harder on myself with the 427 SOHC . But i think when im done it will be worth it ...

All I can say is, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that motor would look more at home in my 57 Ranchero, but I guess you really want it for your Mav.

That cammer has to be the most beautiful engine I've ever seen. Hey, if Dyno Don could put one in a Mav and make it work, it's obviously do-able. Any chance he would be a source of tech help? John B.

What kit did you get? I didn't see anything on the site that appeared to be what you showed. Or did you just get the parts individually?

I ordered everything seperate ... Couldnt afford everything at once ...I got the cradle ,rack unit ,Spindles and brake setup from them but i got the upper and lower arms ,bushings and coil overs from a place called After Hours Customs in dallas.. they were way cheaper ...
