Anyone notice that the newer (but pre '05) mustangs had "grabber hoods"?

They had two scoops, one on each side. I always thought that they did that on purpose to make it look grabber-esque...

Yep, I guess we better save all these Grabber hoods that are rusted out in the front. Sell em to the Mustangers! Hey, I got pretty bad one for sale right now. Maybe I'll advertise it on the Mustang site for about $500. :burnout:

Since the Mustang hood is a lot wider than a Maverick, It will not bolt on. However, since there a lot of Grabber hoods out there with rusted out front lips, one could cut the top off and graft it onto a stock flat Mustang hood. I have one I'd sell fairly cheap. Heck, if I had a 67 mustang hood, I'd try it myself.

The hood and fenders are no wider. Even have the front wheels located the same position.
I am not saying the hood would fit a Stang without work, but they are not narrower.

I seem to remember measured them once for my convertible project and the Mustang hood was wider.

The difference is probably across the tops of the fenders.
