I got ours from Rod & Customs, I didn't have alot of time to R&D the stock stuff so I went the kit route. One of the great things about the kit is is, it has everything you need to install and get up and running. I got the tubular A arms but, I stayed with the shock and spring so I could change them independently. The coil overs look cleaner though. We also got 2" drop spindals so I didn't have to cut so much off the coils.

The hardest part about doing this swap is cutting all the old stuff off. Once everything is off the rest is pretty straight forward. I didn't have to modify anything in the kit, I did have one of the braided brake line banjo fitting crack. I called Rods & Customs and they sent a new one no charge.

We have had the kit in for about 16 months and 12,000 miles and the only complant I have it the power steering fitting on the rack leak a little. Unlike most racks they use "O" rings to seal the lines instead of compression fittings. I will be fixing this one of these days.

After thinking about it I did make two changes from the kit. I didn't like the look of the patch panels so I made my own. The ones I made look more like stock. I also did not use the sway bar mounts from the kit, I modified the stock mounts.

Mr. Hackman, how did you modify the MII crossmember to fit the wider maverick frame rails? I have a MII (actually a bobcat) front end and am thinking about installing it on our car. That was the biggest problem I saw, the difference between the frame rail widths between the MII and the Mav's.

Mr. Raney, that would be wonderful! I'm planning a MII front end in the future, but I'd like to have all my "ducks in a row" so to speak before I go through with it. My email is mavman687@conwaycorp.net
    thanks again!!
