need 2 know

    I just got a 83 merc capri with a 5.0 4 speed its an rs and it did come with a5.0 in it. How can i tell if this could be origanal motor. or if it may be a roller motor?

    The last 6 digits of the VIN will be stamped in the block at the back of the intake. If they don't match the last 6 numbers of the car's VIN, it's not the original engne.
