need to vent

    I started to work on the 73 GT....302 2v';
    Now before I start in on the masking tape on the wire splices,:mad: :mad: :mad: I was going to freshen up the motor when I got to the left side head the center topside head bolt seemed to be frozen ......So I checked the torque on it:( 114 ft.#!!!!!!:mad: )
    So I shot some penetrater on it annd let it sit over night.this after noon I slowly started to try and take the bolt out.SLOWLY to the LEFT I turned,one thread then two,and SNAP!:mad: :mad: :mad:
    Man,I am in a bad mood.Thanks for listening to me bitch....

    Well it sounds like it's time for the machine shop to do some drilling and retapping. You must of had a head gasket leaking water into for a long time to allow it to rust.

    yeah; I bought it knowing that it had blown gaskets....but it was a car WELL known to our local sheriff:rolleyes:
    but for $400.00,I had to get it;)
