Here in Iowa we experinced one of the largest natural disasters in us history. While watching a local news channel they were panning the streets of a nearby town and surveying the flood when all of the sudden there was a 65 falcon up on blocks trying to keep it from the water. I always liked that style of falcon. Well today on my way back home after working in a small town 30 miles from here I went the back way home and was on the phone with a friend and I was telling him this story and to my amazment was that very same falcon still up on blocks! I bet they heard my tires in Illinois when I stopped. Went to the house and asked if it might be for sale, the guy stood there one boot tied and one not, coat miss buttoned and I think he only had one sock on too, and he said yep,how much you gimme for it. We talked, he showed me a pickup load of partsand I told him I'd be back on sat. to look at it better and would make him an offer. This car is from nevada and very straight and appears to be rust free. I'll know a little more on Sat. Nice thing is its two foot in the air and easy to get under and look. Hell it even has the number matching 289 in it.Glass is all good, interior has been updated but I would trash that and go for the roll cage drag racer look. Really cool car, I'll have to buy it store it and work on it after the Mav is done. I think I can buy this car for under $1000.00 What do you guys think? do it or dont it. My wife would poop little bunny turds when she finds out.
If ti turns out to be as good as you think, then ya I think you should restore it. If it was a different motor, interior and already major other changes then yes to the drag looking style. A very nice restored car is just as beautiful as a hotrodded car. JMO
Whatever you decide to do with it, if you can get it, snag it. Those Falcons are fun and versatile little cars.
