i was at a guys shop today and told him about my...used transmission jack...
he said "look under that bottom shelf and see if there isn't a new
    top for one under there".
sure enough...a new Snap On top...never been put on a jack..."you can have it if it will fit".
i have it at the house now and soon as it stops raining or i wake up
(the sooner of the 2) I will see if it fits...(y)

    ...:D...

Some guys have all the luck. Does that just fit onto a typical floor jack?

That is very nice Frank! That is the one I was trying to describe. I personaly wouldn't be using the stems... I like straps.

Does that fit a regular jack also Frank? I think that's what he was asking.

Your a very lucky man for getting both of those for um... free

if ya'll are talking about a floorjack...yes with a little modding...but...i don't think the wheelbase on a floorjack would be safe....that would be another issue to address.JMO

    That's very true.

I have used one on a regular floor jack before... but I didn't prefer it

I prefered a homemade wooden cradle we made (read as 2x4 and a piece of plywood) that we used on a truck that wasnt jacked up very far

Hey! I have that same toolbox on your counter also. Craftsman, I got it last year for Valentines day, and i keep it for "on the go" type repairs, so I can just grab it and go.

See, we do have some of the same tools. lol

I have seen transmission jack adapters that fit on floor jacks and they appear to be of fair quality. You would have to be careful not to tip it over unless you were on smooth hard concrete.
