Welpys, the get together in SoCal / the unofficial MCCI meet in So Cal wasn’t too bad. Well at least I was very happy with the turn out! We had 4 Mavericks, One Comet and one other that has a Maverick, but wasn’t able to bring it. And another Maverick just happened to show up. Total 5 Mavericks, One Comet and people…. 10! Not bad at all considering the late notice and though just e-mails and keeping old phone numbers! I really think that we can really have something good here. I will work with someone on a place for next time… maybe on a weekend sometime before the Knotts Berry Farm Meet in April. Here are some really bad pics of some of the cars there. I was so happy that with all the Mavericks / Comets there I forgot to take pictures early on. Next time I’ll remember to take them sooner.

Most people at the show (non-Maverick Owners) were surprised to see so many Mavericks… “look at all the Mavericks”, “what’s with all the Mavericks?” and “wow there’s another one”. And most all agreed that there were more Mavericks here then at the All Ford Knotts Berry Farm Show. I also noticed our cars were looked at more then the restored 67 Camero and the Tubbed 67 Ranchero (with a 454 all alum big block.. yes it had a chevy) that were parked next to us.

All and all a very positive day. I apologize for not getting a hold of everyone, however next time I will try. If you are interested please respond to this or e-mail me a maverickman@maverickman.com.

Thanks to all who made it out and it was good to see you all there!

Just wanted to say it was great to be a part of a Mav. experience in SO Cal! It was nice meeting you-derrick. Yes, people were quite impressed with Mavericks. It seems that they are something very fresh to people going to frequent car shows and always seeing the exact same type of vehicles.

I love that Roush built 347!!!

Anyway, lets keep the steam rolling on this one for anyone else out there withing So Cal driving distance, and I promise to have my car running for next time!!
