That picture is from the Ford archives. It's showing the BOSS 429 production line at the assembly facility of Kar Kraft Engineering in Brighton, MI. KK was contracted to build the 1358 BOSS 429 Mustangs. And as big as that motor is, it is easier to work on a BOSS 429 in a Mustang as it is a 302 in a Maverick!!! Honest. They are truely great cars.

I completely agree! I'm also not a fan of the inside mounted headlights with the outboard mounted gills.

    I like the 1970 Mach 1's better than 1969's.

I'm just the opposite....I like the 70's single light versions better. The dual lights were one year only, no Mustang had them again until 79 and then they were square. Now if the inner lights are the fog/driving lights, that looks ok by me.

    I like both the 69 and 70 Mustangs,......of course, I owned a 70 Mach-1.
Both are unique, but basically the same body....sets them apart as two classic designs, when they could have just left it the same for a couple of years, like they do with most model's "generation" body styles

I'll second that. The early '67 Shelby with the lights in the center of the grille.

Yes, as much as I like the 69-70 body styles, my all time faves are the 67-68 Fastbacks.
