Hey guys I need help, We gave my daughter my wifes 1999 Mustang for her birthday and now it wont start I did a full diagnostic of the system scanned it and got a PATS system code took it to the local ford dealership and they said it was caused by the speedometer cluster with a healthy price tag attached for the repair. I am an automotive tech myself and know that PATS system repairs can normally only be done by dealership but, wondering if I can get a used one the dealership service writer says that I cant and they send mine out but, if this is the case why are so many avalible? and why wouldnt it work if if there reprogaming it anyhow?
