I came upon a set of brand new NOS Ford/Autolite plugs today, but nobody including Ford can tell me what they are for. The box is '60s vintage. The plugs are BF601 and the Ford number is C2AZ-12405-A. I know Mav parts are a DZ, but if anybody has access to any interchange info for obsolete parts, I'd sure appreciate the info. I tried over the internet, my sources, NAPA, and a local Ford dealer as well as Ford in Dearborn without luck.

"A" is a generic, but it also is listed for Galaxies according to FORD PART NUMBERS

Don't know, Scott. According to the info that I got from the site Doug directed me to, the plugs are most likely for a '62 Galaxie. Autolite informed me that there is no interchange for the plug number so I believe it safe to assume that it is for a defunct engine out of production prior to the 351 going into production.
