Hey Maverick/Comet community. This past week was rough on my project Maverick for some local vandals stole my radio and cause some damage to my front wiring. Unfortunately this means that I must now learn to rewire everything myself with hopefully some help from you guys. The first problem is my gauges, not sure why they messed with them but now the oil tubing line is spilling some oil due to a damaged line. 1. Would I be able to just replace the single line? 2. What is the purpose of this switch which prior to this was hidden. Finally I now have some exposed wires which I am not sure hook to what. When I purchase a new radio will it be self explanatory what to hook which wires to or will I have to replace the wiring? when I purchased my car the radio was one thing that was already installed and my knowledge in wiring is absolutely zero so any advice helps. Thanks.

Yes....you can just buy and replace the oil line. DO NOT get plastic. Get a copper line.

All of those wires are aftermarket for the radio. If you can't figure them out, rewire the car for the new radio.
