old pioneer wiring??

    Anybody know the wiring for a Pioneer super tuner am/fm/cassette??

    The speker wires are what I need.
    It has grey
    grey with black
    green
    green with black


    Has a balance and fader.

    Model is ke-a380. Maybe some of you fellow old timers can help??

    IIRC, gray is one side, green is the other, and the black stripe is the same for each side in the rear. All of them ground off a common ground, but not the body ground, you have to run a ground from the radio to each speaker. I'm not 100% sure on this, so I'd bench test it before I mounted it in the car....

    I dont have white or violet wires Dave.
    I was thinking along the lines of ford84stepside with the common ground thing.:huh:

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    My guess is that some wires have been cut off. Pioneer's don't have a common ground. It would have individual grounds. My guess is the wires with the black on them are the ground wires for the speakers.

    Nope not cut off. Nice rubber grommets out the back of the radio with all the wires intact. Put a post on a car audio site and so far looks like Pioneer used a common ground pre 1988.:huh:
