I have Flowmaster Super44s 2-1/2 all the way, dualled out. Sounds great, turns on car alarms in the parking lots, but drones so bad it is hard to drive the highways for any length of time.

A lot depends on what engine you have. My 6 cylinders are stock but my v8 has Hooker 6901's and Dynomax bullets for mufflers. It's pretty loud. And it's not a street car.:)

Hooker 6901 headers, 2.5" duals to H/X pipe. Turbo mufflers with exits out the valance.

    Cant go wrong with that!

Out of the valance, that is a good idea. But my valance is not in good shape.
I do like the Hooker 6901 headers now I just need to pick mufflers.

I have Hedman headers and old Flowmasters. Sounds great. I'd go with Hedman headers again if I got another car. Im always reading about the 6901 hitting something here or there and needing to be dented. Ive had 2 seats of the Headman the 1-1/2 and the 1-5/8 and they both fit perfect.

Hooker 6901's, 2.25 pipes, FlowTech Redhots [glasspacks], exit out the rear. Mine droned like Scooper's until I had them run out the back. Now it has a great sound, and you can even talk in a normal voice without screaming!

The thing I don't like about those headers is that they're 1.5" as opposed to 1 5/8" like the hooker/hedman.

If your going to keep the engine stock, they should be fine. But if you planning on adding an intake/cam/4BBL I would go with the bigger headers.
