With my 71 comet GT project coming to completion, I have a chance to buy its close cousin a 72 pinto which happens to be just about the same lime green color, maybe a few shades lighter but pretty close. Im not really sure if its worth 2K but it runs, drives, and has new interior. Its all original. I wasnt really planning on buying another car but how often does this oppertunity come along. I never really had a thing for pintos in the past, but its acutally starting to wear on me. Im kind of stuck in the middle of which way I should go on the deal, what do you guys think.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I like pintos, especially the 2.3 ones. I would show the pictures to a pinto expert to ask how much its worth. Out here we never see nice pintos for sale, usually their just beat up or parts cars.

I did notice the floor pans were near perfect, and the cowl is rust free, It must have been a florida car all its life or garage kept.

Go for it. Pintos are fun to drive with the rack and pinion. Mine tracks very well down the road.

    I love Pintos. I had a 72 4-Speed 2.0 Liter trunk model. Was the Go-cart I never had as a kid. I now am doing a 75 with 2.3 turbo. I can't be without one. :)

Oh,and the Rack and pinion steering kicks ass. What engine does it have? 1.6 or 2.0?

    1972 Pinto + 302w = much fun :thumbs2:

Might be building another one (above one built in the 70s).
Different engine this time. Google Ford Racing crate engines & have a peak at the 347 small block :D
