I hope I am posting this in the right section.

I have a drain somewhere through the stereo unit. With the starter solenoid TOTALLY disconnected, keys out of the ignition, I still am getting 1 volt on the multi-meter at the always hot side of the stereo. I am at a complete loss as to how or why this is happening, I guess it could possibly be the stereo unit retaining some residual power, but I want to make sure. Any help and insight is greatly appreciated. Hope I worded everything somewhat well happy to take photos and post them as well if that helps. Again thank you :)

Newer steros draw a small amount of current for memory retention. What do you get w/ neg batt cable disconnected?

Most newer units have a fuse for power and one for memory remove the memory fuse and see what you get. It should not have any draw w / fuse out.
