I have air bubbles (foam) in my power steering pump and lines causing it to whine. What's the best way to completely drain the system and the proper way to refill?
    Thanks.

Assuming fluid level isn't low, it's self bleeding. All that should be required is a few cold(even warm) restarts after system has been up to temp, bubbles rise to high point in pump. Level should be rechecked before each cold restart. Worked on both my Comet & Cobra. My Fairlane had pump housing baffle issues, continued to aerate fluid even after I pulled a vacuum to clear all air.

If you really think refill will help, disconnect return line and let pump drain, plug port on pump. Refill pump, restart & let system pump fluid out return line into bucket, run maybe 6 to 8 sec max. Refill & repeat three times. Reconnect return and again top off , system should be 95% free of air.

Conversely you can pull a vacuum with hand pump and hose fitted into fill tube. On Fairlane I could clear all bubbles and warm was fine. First cold restart, fluid aerated again.

BTW The red coupler thingy is a Briggs & Stratton primer bulb, allowed fitting hose securely into pump filler neck.
