    Hi,
I was just looking for some opinions on the predator carburetors. I have heard from several people that they make unbelievable power, but at the cost of gas mileage for the street. A guy i work with used to race roundy-rounds and he said they put one on for fun and he couldn't believe how well it ran. Is it possible to make them get *reasonable* mileage for the street? I have a motor that could benefit from it, but i don't want to lose a lot of gas mileage with it. They're only about $150 on ebay, so they fit in the budget. Is the gas mileage going to be any worse than a double pumper ("puddle dumper" as my local performance shop guy calls them)?

I have been running one for a long time, love it! Since the carb only pulls what is needed for the engine (cfm) there is little excess fuel flowing. My gas mileage imporoved over the 750dp I was running. Of course, I can't tune a holley to save my life but the predator needs litle to no tuning. Only drawback...The folks at predator are a bit well uh, FLAKY!Other than that, I love mine.
