I purchased a Ford AM/FM Stereo from a auto meet last year, not sure exactly what year it's from. I'm trying to figure out the wiring, I've got the power and lighting wires marked, but the speaker set up has me baffled. I believe back then Ford had a shared ground, which would be the center black wire. Can anyone identify the front/rear, left/right wires?

    Pink / Green Stripe
    Pink / Blue Stripe

    See the graphic I attached...

    Thanks

If you don't have a wiring diagram .. just use trial and error ... attach a speaker to one wire at a time and see which one gets sound ...

Yeah, I can do the trial and error method, but I was hoping someone has run into this before and would know which wires connect to what speaker...

Hooked up the radio last night and found out the wiring was not as thought. Turned out the orange wire was the left rear, rather than the pink/green stripe wire. See attached revised diagram....

As a former car audio installer I can give everyone here a shortcut, use a test light to find the power and ground wires, once that's done, use a 9 volt battery to test speaker lines, every working speaker will give off a loud static sound, if using a meter, be careful of the dash light wire as it will read the same as a ground....cheers:beerchug:
