Rear Brake Axle Block

    Hi Everyone!
    I have a '71 Mav, 200 engine. I'm replacing/cleaning the entire brake system, except for the steel lines. Some years ago, when I was thinking about doing the brakes, I bought Dorman brake hoses with steel connectors. I finally cleaned the axle block (with the vent tube), seeing that it's brass. Should I be using a brass unit, or is the steel alright to use?

    Steel is fine that is what they have anyways

    I don't remember seeing original distribution block that wasn't brass..

    Maybe a little confusion here, yes for brake lines with steel fittings on brass distribution block
