I've been recently working on my project car, (70' Ford Maverick, 6 cyl 3.3L)
I started replacing the rear drum brakes. And upon starting to put them back together.
I realized that the Wheel cylinders don't have pins, or "Cylinder Links" that would push out the shoes.
Did someone not reuse them back when they changed them earlier on?
Or do 70' Mavericks not have Brake Pins on the wheel cylinders?

I can upload a photo here in just a few,

I hv never seen drum brakes w/o pins/cyl. links -- someone removed them. I don't think the rebuilt/reman. cylinders come w/ them. Shud not be a problem getting them from someone on the forum, as someone is always upgrading to disk and scrapping entire drum systems...

Yes, there should be wheel cylinder links. The old brakes would not have worked without them. They have to be there someplace. Maybe stayed stuck on the old shoes?

I have seen some cars where the brake shoes have the "pins" or "Cylinder Link" built into them.

Early 6 cyl brakes don't have them. The shoe has the pin built-in the design.
