I was needing new leaf spring in rear of Comet , i was wonder if people know of different brand maker,s of leaf spring. Names and contact information . I was kinda looking to stiffen the rear leaf springs up . Wright Now i went with General Springs , 4 leaf heavy duty leaf springs. They lasted 10 year, i was happy with the product but want to check my option first. before i buy another set. i was kinda wondering if u could get more then 4 leafs springs , and the pros an cons of tht option. i was wondering if there is better rear leaf mounting shackles , maybe ones with like poylurethane bushing, to stiffen thing up?!?! My Comet Gt is a 90/10 street . drag car , i run lake wood slapper traction bar under leaf springs , Sure i know there is Kal-Trac,s out there , but i like the old school look of the lake wood slapper bars..

    Hey Lightspeed:
You may want to consider ' Re-arcing ' the springs you have now .. Look around under truck equipment dealers ,
they usually know where the Spring People are located . I had the springs re-arced on my 74' Comet 10 years ago and
I'm still running the same spring and they're fine . .

Don't go too stiff. You'll regret it.

I agree with Chip -- have a spring shop re-arch them. Old school but it works great.
