I'm in the process of considering the good old tub job for the maverick. If I decide to go this route are there any back half kits that will work? Possibly one for a falcon or older mustang? If anyone has done this please let me know how you accomplished the fabrication of the frame and rear. Thanks

    Ladder Bars or 4-link

    EFIMAV,

Are you planning on using ladder-bars or a 4-link? Are you planning on keeping the rear seat area anywhere near useable? I would think about it and see what is available lengthwise. I have a rear-clip in mine with ladders, and the front mounting point of the ladder bar is under the driver's seat. Not a problem if you re-do the floor, like I have done with aluminum...but something to consider if you're not wanting to replace everything. Mine is a strip-only car. Not trying to talk you out of it in any way...a narrowed rear in a Mav looks AWESOME, but with as short a wheelbase as they are, it makes for some interesting installation procedures.

I would definitely go with S&W. Give them a call and talk to
Don Scholl, a.k.a. Hookdaddy on some of the more popular drag racing message boards. He will answer any of your questions and get you pointed in the right direction.

Are you planning on doing the work yourself? If so, let me know when you get ready to begin, maybe I can give you some pointers. Definitely get with me before you install your wheel-tubs...I've got a little trick that I've used in the past that will cut down on your install time immensely!

    HTH,
