Hey, is the manual for a 1975 Mercury Comet close enough to use on a 1972?

    I.E., what're the major pitfalls / differences between a '75 and a '72?

Plus, (slightly unrelated, but asked in case the manual won't work, ) how the hell do you change the gear oil in the rear differential? Some vehicles have a plug, but I can't find one... it looks like mine might have the kind where you remove the back cover... if so, how does one remove this cover without #$@$ing it all up? And is there any gaskets or sealers I need to be aware of?

There is no plug to drain the rear. You have to pull the axles and drive shaft out and then take all the nuts of the front of the center section. Then pull the center section out.
