After getting the radio out of the car I am having trouble removing the
old radio from the bezel. What's the easy way? I'd rather not tear anything up getting this apart.

There is a cylindrical nut on each control stem .. you can see after you pull off the knobs... there should be a slot to get a special tool ... or a screwdriver ... in there to unscrew them. Then the radio will drop out ..

I must not have been tapping it hard enough with my hammer and screw driver. I didn't want to bugger up that sloted nut too bad. Guess it will
get a little harsher treatment. Thanks for the quick answer.

What he said. :) FYI, I used a small flat blade screwdriver.

I have always had good luck using a pair of these 90 degree bent needle nose pliers on the slotted nuts that are too tight to get off with a small screw driver

use the tip end of the pliers by putting the tips in the slots and twist

I also use needle nose pliers as described.
