ive got a 72 V8 maverick. i hate that damn buzzer that goes off when a saftey belt is not fastened. saftey belts are a wonderful tool, but i reject any requirement that says i must wear one.
i almost think a lap belt is actually more dangerous than no belt @ all.

can someone tell me where the buzzer disconnect is located?
do i need any tools, and should i disconnect battery before attempting?

    thanks

The buzzer is located under the dash, along the passenger side. Just run you hand along the bottom edge around the back side and you'll feel it. Its about 3" sruare and maby 1/2" thick. When you located it, just turn it 90 degrees and it will pull right out. Then just disconnect the wiring harness.

its hard to unclip something you cannot see. i eventually found it, and now i no longer have to listen to that annoying buzzer.
(great thing, as one of my safefy belts will not fasten)
