Thought I'd post a couple prototype pics of some reproduction items I'm working on for the Motormax 1:24 scale Diecasts. The first thing I'll have out is improved 74-75 Grabber decals. As happy as we all are that Motormax released the 74 Grabber versions of the Maverick, the side stripes leave a little to be desired as to the way they look. I had some new striping done and soon I'll be able to offer self-stick 74-75 Grabber decals that are much improved in design over the Motormax ones. These will be perfect additions to the standard issue Maverick diecasts and to paint the primered versions to match your own car. I'll be offering them in black, orange, and blue. I'd like to offer white but I'm not sure if the white decal material will cover the paint sufficiently. If it will, then white will be available also. No pricing yet. I just got these samples from my decal supplier and installed them on a standard yellow Maverick diecast to try them out. The fit and quality are really good. They will require trimming but as you can tell from the photos, they lay on well. I'll be offering the side stripes and the hood decal.

I've also posted pictures of the wheels we'll be offering fairly soon. One set will be the styled steel Magnum 500-type and the other will be the slotted aluminum wheels. The wheels will not be offered in chrome, at least not in the near term, so they'll have to be painted aluminum or silver-gray and black. I might also offer the decals to say Goodyear Polyglas too.

I also posted a picture with some aftermarket wheels and tires which I'm toying with offering too. I'm not sure they'd be as affective if they weren't chrome plated though.

I'm toying with some more ideas and some more reproduction parts for the JoHan Maverick and Comet kits as well. I'll try to keep everyone posted as they materialize.

Would you sell the yellow one with the Goodyear tire decal? Mine is a 1973 yellow and black, so the 74 looks a lot like it.

Sorry, I can't sell any at this time. At this point I'm planning on selling the striping and other parts to make the diecasts more realistic separately so people can tailor their diecast to their real (or fantasy) car. The decals will be available first, then the wheels, tires, etc. I'll start a new thread when each of them are ready. Thanks!

    White and black

Thank you! This is just what I'm looking for. I will be able to make a white one with black stripes just like my car!
