rough/smooth? getting info. on building my shop. the cement floor finish...rough or smooth? the one i have now has the "broom" finish,it's a little hard to clean...frank...
RUFF or SLICK I think the real question is ruff or smooth. I vote for smooth. Because RUFF is well RUFF and smooth is well very nice. Just clean your oil spills and such up regularly to keep it from being SLICK. Do I get change back? John
What Dennis said!!! If you havent done concrete work before, let alone the size of a shop...hire someone to do it!! They will have the tools to use to spread the concrete and to make it smooth. Besides concrete will wear you out if your not use to handling it! Todd
Smooth! Then you can take the floor buffer and make it shine! Are you planning on coating the floor with one of the hi-tech garage floor paints/finishes that are available? If you are ... you probably don't want it shiny smooth to get good adhesion ..
Depending on the size of the shop you will need to use a Bull Float or a Power Trowel to produce a smooth finish
When I did my little shop I rented a power cement finisher and a float. I did brush 18 inches across the front for wet feet.Lotta work though .Here it is after floating. Tim
