Let's see ... Got the Bolo's, Tie Tack, Money clip and Cuff-links ... Anybody have anything else besides these things?
If by "vintage" you mean original Maverick advertising stuff from the 70's ... then yes it is all original vintage stuff. Actually I beleive all this stuff was given to salesmen in 1969 when the Maverick was introduced ..
anyone know where you can find that stuff nowadays? ebay? i've been yearning for that tie tack and cufflinks for a loooooooong time
Some guy has tie tacks on ebay all the time for $8. Don't get in a bidding war over these...because as soon as one sells....he puts up another one. Dan....I have al of those except for cuff links.
God, I had frogotten about slot cars. Used to be a huge track in my town YEARS ago. Wonder if they could make a comeback?
I kinda collect old slot cars, got about 20 that have been run and 6 that have never been out of the box. 2 of the new ones are kits, all are 1/24-1/32 hardbodys,no mavericks though, all of them released pre 1965
I used to race slot cars back in the 60's. There was a huge track downtown. This was in Oak Harbour, on Widby Island out in Washington state. It was a blast. From what I have heard, its still popular in CA. I wish I still had all my stuff. Here are most of my collectibles. That manilla envelope behind the mug has two 16mm TV commercial ads for the Ford Sprints. I'm trying to get them converted to a digital format.
nice pictures guys. mavaholic, were you in the service at whidbey island. i used to fly in there guite a bit as i lived in bremerton. i was stationed at moffett field in california and the flight crews had to file there flight plans with me. i used to keep a packed bag and ask them to drop me off, then i'd hitch hike down I-5 to seattle and catch the ferry across.
