    okally dokelly...
i found a 2 door granada with V8, power disc brakes, floor shift, console, + bucket seats.
the engine is gone, but the rest of it is there.

the guy is gonna sell me the car for $100 and let me strip it.

im buying the car for the disc brakes. is EVERYTHING a perfect bolt in to a maverick?
should i save the master cylinder? i know i should get the rotors+calipers+ proportioning valve, but what else should i be sure to scarf? im wondering it the back drums are a wider diameter and will fit?

someone told me to get the front sway bar. does it fit? is it thicker than my maverick?

my car is a 72 V8 maverick. i think im stripping a 75-78 mercury monarch.

    any info is appreciated. thanks

get the seats and the console if you don't want to use them you can sell them and regain your cost. if the rear is an 8in hang onto it. heres the granada site that i belong to, you may be able to sell stuff to them.. GRANADA GROUP good luck..

The front sway-bar is 15/16" in diameter. It does NOT fit a Maverick properly as it is too wide, and will cause the end links to be angled instead of straight up. Most Mavericks came with a 3/4" front bar while some had an optional 7/8" bar. I found a 7/8" for mine. Addco offers the 7/8" front bar for Mavericks as well as a 3/4" for the rear. Don't install a bar that doesn't fit properly for the sake of having a bigger bar...

By the way, what color is the console?

If you buy the car let me know if you would like to sell the console. Thanks John

if you are going to look at a monarch, it MAY have a disc brake rear end! uhhh from the granada also take the tie rod ends... sometimes you need them sometimes not. best of luck! it is an easy swap. just remember to get a front end alignment when you are done.
