My favorite junkyard has had this running 351w sitting for several months now. (1996 F350)
They quoted me 200 bux for the engine complete with all the accessories and everything... This was quite a while back.
I really wanted the thing due to the roller block and potential to be plug-n-play into my F150 (5.0).

Anyway, I waited too long. Couldn't really spare the dough anyway.
I went in there Friday to look around and found 'my' 351 had been completely stripped down and sorted into scrap piles!
The long block (still with oil cooler intact) was in the iron pile, while the accessories and upper/lower intake was in the aluminum pile. :(

I went up to the office and complained to my favorite yard's owner that he scrapped my engine (in jest). He told me to get what's left and take it if I wanted it.

So I salvaged the long block and the intake lower.
The upper was crushed beyond use in the aluminum pile.
I found the distributor, but noticed it was not the same wiring as my 5.0s, so I let it go.

Anyway... score one used to be running, free, 351w roller engine, less upper manifold.

Now that it is no longer plug-n-play for my truck, I have no idea what to do with the thing! I just know a roller 351 is something to be saved from the recycle pile!

    Edit:
The reason it was 200 bux "running" is because it needed a head gasket. My favorite yard gets 500 bux for a turn-key runner.

Come on! Why is this thread in the Automotive forum, it should be in the Technical forum, you know, cause you want that puppy inside your mav's engine bay.

I'm jealous, I've been looking for a decently priced 351W roller block for awhile. The going price is $300 - $400 for a bare block.

I'm still pretty hype on putting it in my F150.
The 5.0 is a gutless wonder for use in a work truck.
    I need torque.
Just that it will be a much more involved task now that all the accessory brackets are gone and the truck's wiring harness has been hacked to death getting the engine out.
This yard I go to is strictly 'business'.
They don't care about roller this, or HO that...
They also don't allow folks to walk the yard.
It's serious mechanics and body shops that they are worried about.
If it doesn't sell, they are all about scrapping and crushing.
No Upull-it in any way, shape, or form.

They just let me walk the yard cuz I know the owner.
Luckily they don't get any old cars in.
They would be crushed in a heartbeat.
I have to be quick if a Mav or Granada comes in!
If I get there before the crusher, the discs are dirt cheap to a yard like this.
