Lately I've hit the jackpot as far as parts go. I bought a 94 cobra engine and several intakes and a T-5. So I was going to build it and go that way... Today however, I got a fuel injectrd 5.0 Lincoln engine and an AOD all complete. Then I find a top loader 4 speed!!! Not one but 2! My questions concern the 4 speed. It's my understanding that there were 2 small block 4 speeds types, the difference being then shifter mounting location. Mustangs were located at the back of the transmissions and fairlane models had the shifter mounted more toward the center of the transmission. Which type would be better in the maverick? Who has done this? Could I pick your brains a little? Thanks!!
