I recieved this from Neal and since he canot start a thread here in the meets section I said I would for him:D this meet will be the weekend of sept. 28th and 29th I do believe..........but Neal can take over now:)As far as for my meet and info, I got in touch with several Motels here in town and the best rate I could get was just under $48 dollars a night at Super 8 Motel. The cost of admission to the show is $20 or $25 and I could not get any pre registration so I think it will cost $25. I talked to a couple of people that organize it and they are pretty sure that it will be covered again this year by My Classic Car so hopefully we can get a little publicity for the Mavericks and Comets :D.

Well that is all I got for now and also I would say that the best way for anyone to get ahold of me would be my Cell # not my home # I am never home I work a lot in the evening doing side work, so you might change the number to reach me to that number. 812-568-3983.

    Thanks Robert that should work........

I hope to see as many of you as possible. If you need driving directions just call of anything else please feel free to call anytime during the day up to about 10:00 central time.

This should be alot of fun and there will be plenty of shade for everyone and for the kiddoo's. We have plenty of things to do after the show I can find out where other cruz-ins are and maybe we could hite those or who knows I am sure we could think of something.

For those that are planning on trailering a car here there is a big parking lot right next to my house that we can park them and leave them for the weekend. And if you ask nice I can even move things around and we can pull the cars in the garage :D only up to two sorry not very big I will even pull my out and put it under the car port :D

    I'm Still Not Clear...

    Neal,

Was there a link or something on the original post? If so, I didn't see it. Anyway, is this the Autofest? Where are you going to be? I still don't have my car done yet, but sure would like to meet some of you guys.

I REALLY need to find a decent Mav to start on to drive on the street. I would like to attend some of these events, but without a streetable Mav, it makes it a little hard. The race car would be frowned upon because of its bow-tie transplant  Besides, it's still a little ways from being completed. Oh well, let me know where you guys are going to be located, and I'll try and make it by there. Chandler is supposed to be having a big race that same weekend I believe, but I may still be able to make it by sometime.

    Later,

If you have a cell # just call me on mine and I will let you know exactly where we are. Or if you just get board you can call any time, and maybe we can even meet sometime before that, John Ford and I have met up for Breakfast before and if you can work it into your schedule maybe we could all meet up on morning and have and chat. Here is my cell again 812-568-3983

Not sure where you are at in Henderson but I am only and hop skip and away from there :D

Hope that more are going to be able to make it this should be fun:clap:

    Pretty Good Turnout...

    Neal,

I just got back from the Autofest. I looked around but didn't see any Mav's or Comets there. They did have a pretty good turnout of other cars though. Tonight is the only night that I'll be able to attend. I have to work at the Fire Dept tomorrow for 24 and Sunday morning I have to be at my other job from 8-4. Oh well, maybe we can hook up some other time. I tried the cell # that you listed, but could not get it to go through, isn't technology wonderful?

Oh well, maybe some other time.

Well Iwas there yesturday and yes it is a great turn out we had over 400 registered but not all of them were there yet. I had to leave early just one of those things that you can't help I guess, very sorry that I missed ya. There is another Maverick in the show other than mine, he is out of Gibson county and it looks real nice. He can't wait to get out of college so he can start working on the car again.........(been there) He seems to be a very nice guy and gets on here once in awhile.

Same goes man I am sorry I missed ya.

NO the car is not a GT but his buddy is able to make just about any type of decal that you can think up, He told me that he just like the way that it looked so thats what he went with.

And For Craig I told the both about the round-up and they both know of the board. They ask me about the MCCI and if I was a member but told me they were not. I am pretty sure that the Red one will be coming to the round-up with my wife and I next year not sure about the green one.

Well it is time for me to get ready and head back down there talk to you all later.
