My 200 six seems to have a problem when i take the plugs out. The ground to electrode is filled with white corrosion. I dont really know what it is or what is causing this ( i assume that i have a faulty head gasket and water is getting into the combustion chamber considering that the last time i changed the head gasket/lifters the exhaust valve was extraordanarily clean). Anyway, the ground to the electrode is *filled* with this white stuff. Any suggestions on getting rid of it or what it is will be greatly appreciated. Kyle B.
Kyle; had a 302 with the same problem. Take the plugs out, and with the coil wire off, spin the engine. You will see water come out of the engine if it is a blown gasket. Just keep the plugs straight so you know which hole they came out of. The only fix is to pull the head, and replace the gasket and fix whatever is wrong. Good luck! Earl
cylinders 1 through 5 are affected with #3 by far the worst. Number 6 had a little bit of the buildup, but nothing too severe... good enough to fire. I cleaned the plugs and the mav pulls pretty good now and doesnt act as though its missing on 3 cylinders lol. Kyle B.
my 200 does that too... all six plugs get all gooked up with this kinda white/tan powder. actually bridges the gap. i lose NO water over any period of time. i am thinking valve seals cuz i have great compression but i use a quart in 2 weeks. my .02
