Speaker Size

I'm wondering for future refference. What is the largest speaker you can have up front in your kick panels? what will fit behind it with a factory speaker grill?

I couldn't say what the biggest speaker you could possibly fit behind the kick panels would be, but they were factory fitted with 5 1/4" round speakers with a square grill in the kick panel, and some kick panels had the factory "punched" multiple holes.

 

I have 6 1/2" speakers up front behind the kickpanels....does that help?

 

Did you have to modify anything to make them fit? and what speakers are they.

 

anyone have a pic of how the speaker is actually bolted to the car???

 

I'd like to see a pic, too. To get a better idea of how to do it myself.....
