can anyone please post pictures of there kickpanel speakers? i plan on putting some in, i'd like some suggestions also. What all is needed besides speakers to do this?
They made kick panels with the speaker grills in them. I have yet to see a pair for myself though. I would love to find myself some, although my car being a 70 it doesnt even have the holes for 'em. drat. -Todd
i got a 71.....i heard something about there being "preverations and guides" on the inside of the kick panel, but i've yet to find anything remotely like a guide
my 74 has some nice cutout where a speaker would fit perfectly. altho, the kick panel im guessing would need to be cut since its all plastic lol. i can take a picture of it if anyone needed to see it....since it seems no one has seen it b4? lol
I think we have seen the cutout for the speakers, but we have never seen the kickpanels with factory holes in the plastic. It should be noted that the factory cut-outs are not that deep, so measure before buying speakers.
It's not exactly in the kick panel, but you can put a 6x9 in the lower front corner of the door. Lots of room. Just place it as low as possible so the window doesn't hit when rolled down.
here's a link to a thread I posted about this subject: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3150&highlight=screwdriver
On the backside of the door panel. They go around the perimeter. Just slightly pry the back (latch end) of the panel out and you will see them. Get the 4 across the back first and then work your way foward. Remove the arm rest, door handle, & window crank before doing the clips.
see????? looks like another trip to "the yard" to practice so i don't screw mine up. been gettin that junkyard itch anyhow.
