speedo help pleas

    a long time ago the fuel gage went out on my 76 mav and I went to the junk yard and got the insterment cluster out of a 70 somethin comet and replaced that part . on my 76 it has a 0 to 100 speedo and my other gage cluster out of the comet has a o to 120 speedo with a realy nice bakground could I put that in my mav or will the speedo be off 20 MH . I don`t want to find out the hard way , thanks :)

    You can interchange them. The difference is in the resistance spring on the speedometer needle so it will be accurate no matter which one you use providing you change the whole speedometer assembly and not just the background.
