Speedometer Bouncing Around

    Hey the hubby has a 1970 Maverick. The speedometer started bouncing around tonight. Do you have any ideas of what could be causing this issue?

    Dry speedo cable or possibly dry bearing in speedo.

    You do not have your location listed. If you are in a cold climate, it might just be the cold.
    They can be cleaned and lubed. Use bicycle cable lube for best results. Then a dab of white lithium on the cable bushing on the speedo head.

    I'm located in Cypress, Tx(suburb of Houston)...so not that cold, but it has been in the 30s-40s as of late
