I have a nice sport steering wheel but the horn rings are missing, it is NOT the style that has the turn signal on the column it is the type that works on our cars. It appears that perhaps the rings got broken somehow and somebody just removed the rings.

Has anybody ever tried making a non horn contact wheel into a wheel that has contact rings work , I remember reading that someone had done it but dont remember who it was. I would like to attempt to do it I just have to find a wheel that is no good except for contact rings, wish I had not thrown all them away now from previous parts cars

I have a couple standard wheels, I could sacrifice one for the experiment. They are both standard issue Eastern Washington sun baked pieces so it would be no loss to the community!

Thanks for the offer Rick, after posting this yesterday I purchased a 75 Mav that I will use the wheel for experimentation . Out of all the Mavs and Comets I have purchased I have yet to find one with a crack free steering wheel and only seen one that a friend had that he sold on ebay for a outrageous amount of money $300.00. It was a blue one
