I need an ABS wheel speed sensor for my Prelude. The only ones I can find so far are by STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS. Any feedback on the quality of the products these guys distribute? Thanks. John B
Standard has been around for many years and I have installed many of their parts over the years. They used to be a big supplier of tune up kits (cap, rotor, points, wires, ect) and electrical components in general. Quality is about the same as any of the parts houses internal store brand. (NAPA, Advance, Auto Zone, ect). And I would bet, like the store brands, all of it is made in China now. But that is a whole 'nother topic.....
We get standard parts at work aftermarket when needed. Ive had MAP sensors etc shipped over and in the Standard box is the Chrysler part with the Chrysler part number. Standard must get them from the same supplier as Chrysler or makes them for Chrysler. You never know I guess but what I have seen is OEM parts in Standard boxes. I dont think you would have a problem John as long as they can get you the right part. Wheel speed sensor is pretty basic construction. Give me the info on your car John. I have access to Carquest weblink catalogue. I can check it here at home and see if they list one.
Lets see if this link works here. Pm sent John. http://weblink.carquest.com/acl/?mfgName=BRK&partNumber=LS121551 Looks like it works. Does it look your sensor John?
Hi Darren, That pretty much looks like it. Here's a link to the Raybestos version of this part. The pic is a bit sharper. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=301240 Thanks again for your help. John B
