starting problems

    after wiring up my sons 72 sprint mav,when he engages key im getting nothing .new starter sol etc.if the backup,neutral switc is unhooked will this keep engine from turning over?

    it could depending on the year and style trans you are running. i wouls try to wire a remote start button and see what it does then.

    Sounds like a missing or maladjusted neutral start or clutch switch.
